A woman can make three things out of nothing - a hat, a tantrum and a salad, says a well-known, albeit dubious, saying. For example, I don’t wear hats - they make my forehead itch. I am not prone to hysterics at all. But this comrade guessed right about salads - she’s capable. And, really, from anything.

We eat salads all year round. In the summer there are huge bowls like these, only they are called salad bowls because they are glass. In spring and autumn, the volumes are more modest, but I let my craving for inventions go for a walk and the most unimaginable salads appear on our table. We don’t sit idle in winter either. I have a couple on my website, but in real life I’ve made a good dozen coleslaws in different variations. And if I happen to buy some arugula, I’m barely able to carry it home, clutching it to my chest - and then we have a salad feast. This is because imported greenery in our area is often well-worn and costs as much as an inexpensive car.
In the sunny season there are so many promising ingredients that all you need to go with them is mostly lemon and olive oil. But now, looking at carrots and beets, you’ll have to do some magic if you want to eat a varied diet. And great helpers in this matter are salad dressings.
Recently, quite a lot of different interesting options have appeared on the shelves. I propose to take a closer look at the Ukrainian natural salad sauces TM Fresh Dressing, and there is something to see there.
Taste
Today, manufacturers have 4 types of sauces in their line - “Lemon and mustard”, “Ginger and sesame”, “Black sesame” and “Raspberry and basil”.
The first taste is classic. A couple of tablespoons of olive oil and it’s great for dressing standard salads with summer vegetables, those with a lot of lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, fresh onions and peppers. It also enlivens the pale version made from greenhouse vegetables.
The second taste is oriental. Ginger and sesame. My favorite, in a short time I managed to finish half a bottle. It has such a distinct tahini flavor and a slight, slight ginger note in the background. Sounds great in salads with cauliflower, baked pumpkin, legumes and cucumbers.
The third taste is Asian. Black sesame. I like it a lot. If you like Asian-style salads with all sorts of bean sprouts and crispy cabbage, this is what you need. The taste is interesting and balanced. And if you combine it with soy sauce and sesame oil, it becomes even brighter.
The fourth taste is berry. Fragrant, sweetish. Pairs very well with meat salads, especially beef or duck. Goes well with apples, baked beets, aged cheese, and nuts.
Composition
According to the manufacturer, completely natural. Berry or sesame paste, apple rice vinegar, lemon or lime juice, soy sauce, mustard - the same ingredients that I would use when making the dressing myself. What I especially liked is that the composition of some of the ingredients is even indicated, for example, it is written what soy sauce or rice vinegar is made from. Xanthan gum is used as a stabilizer-thickener. I read about a dozen articles about this chemical compound, they all insist on its complete safety, and, as a result, wide use in the food industry.
